Front Yard Revitalization

This High Park residence desperately needed the aging wooden front porch and steps and the crumbling concrete walkway and retaining walls replaced. The desire was to keep the look of the landscaping classic and elegant in keeping with the Edwardian façade of the house. The Italianate balusters were replaced with subtle square pickets and the porch and stairs were rebuilt and painted. The walkway is now square cut flagstone laid on a concrete base. The retaining walls are rock faced natural stone with integrated steps. The complementary gardens have a traditional feel. They include boxwood and yew hedges, Annabelle hydrangeas, an upright Japanese maple, hostas and Rozanne geraniums for colour.
